'Details' is part of Newcastle Arts Centre Limited which is an independent arts based company in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. We have over 32 years of experience in the fine art materials trade.

This web site is owned and operated by Newcastle Arts Centre Limited who are completely dedicated to your total satisfaction. If you have any suggestions or comments or if you need to contact us, please email us using the link on the store page or use the details below.

Q. Is it possible for you to source products that are not listed on your website?

A. This is no problem as not all of our stock is displayed online, please get in touch by phone to check availability.

Q. Do you produce a catalogue?

A. The website is our catalogue, If you need to discuss any products do not hesitate to get in touch. We are main suppliers for Winsor & Newton, Daler-Rowney, Talens and Pebeo, contact us by phone or email to order.

When you place an order online and supply your email address, we ask if you would like to be included in our monthly email which includes offers and news.
Please state yes or no in the section in the checkout.

Making A Purchase

TERMS & CONDITIONS

You MUST supply your full name and address, contact phone number and email address,
your phone number will only be used to contact regarding your order.

Please note.. if you are paying by Paypal the website defaults to the address supplied by Paypal.

All website details, including prices, are subject to change and notification of any relevant changes will be given to the buyer following receipt of order. The buyer will subsequently be offered the opportunity to cancel or amend the order. All prices shown are correct at the time of publication and include VAT at the current rate of 20%.

Payment must be made with the order and orders will only be accepted on receipt of cleared funds.

Newcastle Arts Centre endeavours to maintain good customer service however, we have the right to refuse an order and any liability for failure to deliver in good time, or the performance of the product is limited to the value of the goods.

Cancelling an order.

If you accidentally place an order of just change your mind, don't worry. You can cancel or amend your order right up to the point that we start to process it. Please phone or email us as soon as possible.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order or you can pay via Paypal Express

We accept Visa and MasterCard and most debit cards

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

How much does delivery cost?

We only deliver to the UK and Ireland

Please note that additional postage charges may not be applied at checkout, we will contact you to confirm the order.

Most orders are sent via DPD, who deliver 7.30am - 9pm Monday to Friday, others are sent via Royal Mail 1st Class.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday. (except bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year)

Fo deliveries to all addresses except England and Wales these will be sent by ParcelForce and will be a minimum
of 2 working days once dispatched.

Delivery Address

We will deliver to the address supplied by the customer.
If we make an error on the address we will at our expense recover the item and resend it
on to the correct address.
If the customer supplies an address which duing or after delivery turns out to be incorrect, i.e. the customer has moved house and failed to update their PayPal account, we can on behalf of the customer attempt to redirect or recover the order at the customers expence, if the item is in transit and we can redirect, the courier charge is £15, if the item is to be recovered and redelivered the couirer charge for England and Wales is £25, all other UK addresses is £45. Please note that these charges are what the courier company charges us and MUST be paid for in full before the courier is instructed.
If we have managed to recover the item back to us before resending and the customer wishes to cancel the order, the refund made will be the item cost less the courier charge of England & Wales £17, all other UK addresses £38.

Please note if your order is sent by courier to a private address the courier will attempt to deliver 3 times before returning the undelivered/uncollected order to us or if being delivered to a business address they will only attempt to deliver only once.

Please note if your order is returned to us as you've not been in to accept it or unable to collect it from the depot a £5.40 return fee will be deducted from your refund as well as any shipping costs that you were charged to send the order to you (this is what the courier charges us)

Q. How do I use the Click & Collect service?

A. Simply place and pay for your order online and collect within 5 working days.
Please bring a copy of your order including the order number and the payment card you used to place your order.
Someone else can collect your order on your behalf, but to prevent fraud the person you've nominated must bring along your order acknowledgment email, your ID and photographic ID belonging to them.
When you collect your product you may be asked to provide additional proof of age information.
Accepted forms of Photographic ID is the New Driving Licence with a colour or black and white photograph


Q. How long will my order take to be delivered?

A. In most cases your order will be dispatched within 2 working days on a next working day delivery via DPD to UK mainland addresses, except for Highlands and Islands of Scotland, please allow 2-5 working days for delivery. This is subject to available stock levels and any unforeseen circumstances.

When receiving a delivery.

When your package arrives please inspect for damage to the exterior of the parcel before signing for 'in good condition' if the parcel appears damaged please sign for as damaged or do not accept delivery.

You must inform us by 10am the next working day if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem.
Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Please note that if your parcel is returned to us due to non delivery i.e. your were out at time of delivery
and failed to contact us or the delivery office, your payment will be refunded less the standard delivery charge of £7 and a return charge of £7 = £14 (the return charge only applies to orders shipped via DPD and UKmail)

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2015.

Any goods returned should be in the same condition as when shipped.

These terms apply to your order.
We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way.
If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Return of a damaged, defective or incorrect item. The following explains what to do.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

In all cases please contact us by email first before returning any item/s
Enclose your name, address, phone number, invoice number and a note about the problem
If your delivery contents have been damaged in transit you must inform us by 10am the following working day, you can return them to us within 28 days of receipt for exchange.

If the item develops a fault or arrives faulty.

You have the right to return the item within 30 days, please keep any receipts and warranty information as this will be needed to deal with your return.

If we send you an item that you did not order i.e. an incorrect item.

As soon as you find out we have sent you an incorrect item please contact us at once via email. Once we have confirmed that the item is incorrect and that you do not wish to keep it please return it securely in its original packaging via recorded delivery at the Post Office.

We will dispatch the correct item as soon as the incorrect item is returned and refund the incorrect item and your postage costs as soon as it arrives.

Our refunds policy
The following describes how we calculate refunds and outlines our policy.
This does not effect your statutory rights.

When you return an item to us we will process the returned item/s, then notify you via email of your refund. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment as originally used for the purchase within 7 working days of receiving your return.

How the refund is calculated.

Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect.

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or it has been damaged in transit or arrived defective, we will refund the item and reimburse you your cost of returning the order to us.

Items returned within the 14 day cooling off period.

By law, customers located within the UK have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within 14 days from the day after the date the item is delivered. Then you must return the item by day 28.

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the 14 day cooling off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item, and the Basic cost of postage if applicable
We will not refund postage charges incurred in returning the item to us,
this is up to you unless your item is large and you've requested that we collect.

Please note that in this case a standard collection charge (UK Mainland only not including Highlands of Scotland or other parts of the UK) of £18 will be deducted from your refund

Your refund will be issued within 7 days of the date of the item arriving back to the store.
You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

If we attempt to deliver your order but no one was available to sign for it, and a card was left, and you made no attempt to re-arrange delivery with the courier/postoffice and the order was returned to us, a standard postal charge of £7 will be deducted from your refund.
